Mario Roman is a student at Illinois Institute of Technology who expects to earn a Bachelor of Architecture degree this coming May.  Mario says he is looking forward to working on interesting and exciting projects that help a company’s production and growth while further developing his skills.  Mario wants to focus on the design aspects of community oriented projects.  He says, “The world is becoming more social and collaborative and our architecture should  follow those ideas to make the world more productive and more comfortable.”  Mario’s biggest goal is to eventually start his own practice and focus on these types of community oriented projects.

Illinois Institute of Technology

A student at Illinois Institute of Technology, Julia Suriano anticipates earning a Professional Bachelor of Architecture in Spring 2017.  Julia says, “As architects we have the ability to design how people experience space.  From the mundane action of gripping a door handle to designing relief structures for displaced natural disaster victims.  We have the capacity to change how people perceive the space around them and make a positive impact on their lives.”  As Julia pursues her  career in architecture she would like to find ways to help others, whether it’s through the design of space or volunteering her time and abilities.
