The American Institute of Architects held its Design Awards at the Elmhurst Art Museum to recognize and honor the talents of its members and their exceptional projects.  Ten projects were selected to receive awards for Merit in Design and Excellence in Design by a jury comprised of Dirk Lohan, FAIA, principal, Wight & Company, Graham Greene, AIA, LEED, BD+C, principal and partner, Oglesby-Greene Architecture, Inc., Nevin Hedlund, AIA, principal, Nevin Hedlund Architects, Inc., Tom Jacobs, AIA, principal, Krueck+Sexton Architects, Tom Shafer, AIA, principal & founding partner, Thomas Shafer Architects, Inc., and Tom Roszak, AIA, principal, 215 West Lake Street Holdings, LLC.
