The Larsen Memorial Scholarship
The Larsen scholarship was established in 2007 by “Les” Larsen’s widow, Sandra Larsen. Les Larsen was a charter member of AIA Northeast Illinois and was a long-standing, active member of the AIA at the local, state and national levels. The NEI Scholarship Committee reviews applicants and selects the recipient for the scholarship, which is administered by the DuPage Community Foundation.
The scholarship is to recognize students who have been accepted into the Master of Architecture program of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign or Chicago. The students must be planning a career in architecture, demonstrate academic achievement and participate in extracurricular activities.
