Design
To raise the design profile of the Chapter through celebrating and promoting design excellence to individual members, member firms, the larger community and to future architects.

Promotes environmental leadership among architects and seeks to make sustainability integral to the profession.

Emerging Professionals

Develop ways to involve members in their journey from academia through their first ten years of licensure by offering resources and opportunities in the areas of IDP training, LEED and ARE preparation. With the combination of competitions, service projects, training session, site visits and social events, ways to connect, grow, and serve will be offered.

Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP)
Promotes the use of information technology systems in the practice of architecture by informing the chapter about the most recent developments affecting the electronic practice.

SUPPORT COMMITTEES

Advocacy
Serve as a liaison between the architectural community and local, regional, and county government agencies within the chapter area.

Community Outreach / Pro Bono
Identify and organize pro bono opportunities within the NEI chapter area and when appropriate, coordinate these opportunities with NEI Emerging Professionals

Program / Continuing Education

Scholarship

Seeks to promote the AIA architect, as well as the profession of architecture, to the public.

Honor Awards
This committee is responsible for the Chapter’s biennial honor awards program. The event is designed to honor design excellence. The committee is responsible for collecting and organizing chapter submissions, jury selection, and organizing the culminating event where design excellence is recognized.
