We read about it and hear about it almost daily in the news . . . unfortunately, sexual harassment in the workplace still exists.  AIANEI supports the AIA ‘s commitment to safe and equitable workplaces for architects, architectural workers and allied professionals.  The AIA and its members are committed to full compliance with all laws and regulations, and it’s up to us to maintain the highest ethical standards in the way we conduct our operations and activities – there is no place in the architectural profession for sexual harassment.

Join us for this informative session on sexual harassment and compliance featuring David Pogrund who teaches employment law as an adjunct professor at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. This session will be practical, interactive, and assist you in preventing sexual harassment claims and the legal liability and damages resulting from such claims.

You will walk away with an understanding of the evolution and theories of sexual harassment, what is and is not sexual harassment, under what circumstances a company may be vicariously liable for the sexual harassment of one of its employees, how to identify sexual harassment, how to deal with a sexual harassment claim, how to conduct an investigation into a sexual harassment claim and what action must be taken post investigation depending upon the investigation findings.

We hope you will join us to learn and participate in the conversation.

Participants will earn 1.5 LU for participation in this program.
